Growing up in the music town of Macon, Georgia, surrounded by the likes of Otis Redding, James Brown, and Ray Charles, Michael grew up listening to the sounds of Donny Hathaway, The O’Jays, and The Temptations. He gravitated toward percussion and singing at an early age and eventually learned to play piano. From childhood it seems that his entire life had been a nurturing experience, preparing him for a lifetime career in music.
Immediately after graduating from high school, he went off to Morris Brown College to study music. There he learned to appreciate all styles of music from classical, jazz, gospel, rhythm & blues, to rock. He started performing professionally at age 14 and has graced the stage with such artists as The Four Tops, Jamie Fox, Miles Jay, Steve Harvey and many others.
Now living in Mableton, Georgia with his wife, Towanda, and two daughters, Jessica and Jocelyn, Michael looks forward to continuing his belief in God first and to always give his all to create and perform the best music possible in order to touch and encourage people of all ages.
